The 榴莲视频官方 Board of Regents is proud to present a KUDOS Award to Aaron Krueger, UNO鈥檚 Director of Success Academies.
Success Academies are programs and initiatives that serve more than 300 students annually, empowering them in their growth as professionals. Krueger oversees several initiatives: the Success Academy, Young Scholars, Dreamers Pathway, and the new Pechar Scholars.
These programs support students with different challenges requiring Aaron to be adaptable and to 鈥渨ear many hats鈥 as his nominators point out. He is constantly on the move to make sure every student in their care has what they need.
One nominator said that Krueger 鈥渋s always on-the-go: collaborating with partners across campus, meeting individually with at-risk students, serving on committees, writing grants, meeting with outside foundations, and more; balancing all with enthusiasm while facing challenging situations with ease.鈥
Krueger treats campus and community partners with respect, but also ensures those he serves feel heard and valued. Every interaction feels truly sincere, evidenced by how the students speak about him.
One such student said, 鈥淗e genuinely asks how I鈥檓 doing whenever he sees me and stops walking to show that he wants to hear something aside from the usual 鈥榙oing good鈥 response. I greatly respect Aaron and feel like I can speak to him directly about anything rather than act like a corporate leader walked into the room.鈥
He always shows care and empathy for students, faculty, and staff within the Success Academies, and he focuses on the future, looking for strategic ways to overcome barriers that the department and those it serves face.
鈥淗e demonstrates Maverick Spirit every day,鈥 a nominator writes. 鈥淲hether he鈥檚 meeting with a student, serving on a committee, or volunteering to help with a campus event, Aaron goes above and beyond what is expected of him.鈥
For his devotion to the support of students within the programs he oversees and his empathetic care for his staff, Aaron Krueger has shown what it means to be a Maverick. Instrumental in helping so many Mavericks thrive, he is a vital member of the 榴莲视频官方 System, fully earning this recognition.
