Mobile 榴莲视频官方 innovator, Robbie Melton, Ph.D., is set to kick off the 2016 m with her keynote presentation, “The Emergence of The Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Connected Devices and EduGadgets for Real-Time On-Demand Transformation.”
In this high-energy keynote presentation, attendees will share in the exploration of 榴莲视频官方al possibilities and challenges of the loT Smart Technologies (EduGadgets) as data-driven tools for improving academic and social performance. This includes the use of innovative apps and devices to explore alternate reality right from the attendee’s seat.
More on Melton: As associate vice chancellor for mobilization and emerging technology for the Tennessee Board of Regents, Dr. Melton oversees mobilization strategies and initiatives for the sixth largest statewide system of public higher 榴莲视频官方 in the country. A key part of Melton's role is keeping an eye on the future of mobile technology and organizing cross-disciplinary teams to study its 榴莲视频官方 applications. She is known as the first ‘App-ologist’ with her development of an Education and Workforce Mobile App Resource Center for PreK-PhD
Special guests joining Melton include:
- Malcolm Brown, Director of the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative. Brown has initiated major ELI undertakings such as the Seeking Evidence of Impact program and Learning Space Rating System.
- Tanya Joosten, Director of eLearning Research and Development at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Joosten guides strategic eLearning efforts at the campus, state and national levels.
The symposium is offered at no cost for any NU faculty and staff member and is of special interest to those who use technology to teach, support the use of technology across the institution and those interested in learning more.
